Hey guys, I'm fairly new here with a 2 month old Everest Trend Bi-turbo. I have an Ultragauge and also purchased the Forscan dongle from Stewart (Thanks to this site). I have disabled the Start-Stop function in BCM non-asbuilt and it works. However, I have noticed that the battery SOC stays at around 94% 14.4VDC even when I tried the different settings in Single/Dual battery modes. I don't have any dual battery setup and I am wondering if there is another way to disable engine start stop and set dual battery mode SOC to 85% or is it better for the OEM battery to leave it at 94% SOC and maintain 14.4 VDC. Thanks in advance.

What you have is fine, just leave it.

Average is around 2 to 3 years tops out of the batteries in most cases.

Thanks Stewart! I have also noticed that since I disabled the Start-Stop function in BCM non-asbuilt, my DPF regeneration starts at 50% DPF soot blockage. I have re- enabled Start-Stop function for a few days now and it hasn't started DPF regeneration and it is already at 60% blockage. Is there any other way to disable engine Start-Stop without affecting the DPF regeneration cycle? I am monitoring DPF soot blockage and EGT-13 via Ultragauge and have also double checked that I have the correct PID settings for both.

Unsure why that is an issue, but no I do not own a vehicle with DPF so cannot answer that question. Another thought is being the SOC is probably higher may be why.

There is no other way that I know of that turns off stop start for good.
