Is there or does anyone know of a PID for the AdBlue tank level on an Everest?

In FORscan lite it shows as "DCU.REDUCT_LITERS - Reductant Tank level amount" But im not smart enough to get anything from that to work with in Torque or even OBDLink.

So Stewart, if you have time in the limited time you have, your help would be much appreciated. ;)

Does it show the correct amount? From memory there were 3 sensors in there to estimate the level, kind of like a water level sensor.

Without access to an Everest I cannot really do it, I will make a note as I may have another way.

I believe it does show the correct amount, I was looking at it a few months ago. I will confirm though in the next few days when i fill up the AdBlue tank again. Its currently showing around 6litres left, so if around 12litres goes in, then its pretty close.

Filled up today, it took around 12litres (13.5 to be exact) which was kind of what I was expecting.

Now, in the attatched Pic...

REDUCT_LITRES is taking some time to respond to the fill i just did. I will continue to monitor this one to see if it comes good with around the 18 litre mark

REDUCT_LINEST has been up around 99.9% but dropeed back to 5.6% when I shut the engine off. Ill keep an eye on this one too.

The 3 sensor values flick between 0 and 2volts constantly

REDUCT_TNK_LV gives the tank full as a percentage, which can be changed to a litre figure with some maths. Its showing 100% after the fill (although I didnt note what it was before the fill).

The litres will be based on calculation from the 3 sensors. I did read up on it a while back, so say you have a sensor every 1/3rd of a tank, it will then average them to get your litres left. So it would be close but it calculated. I will see what I can get hold of.

Any more findings in relations to creating a custom PID for Adblue level?

If you have Forscan send me your saved vehicle profile and I will have a look at it or if someone else can send me theirs. Open Forscan and vehicle profiles are on the far right tab up the top. They can be selected and exported down the bottom.

I do not have the module so cannot.

If not I will get it another way and the coming days and get back to you.

This was a PIA and took ages to sort but is done and assume you are using Torque

TORQUE PRO / OBDLINK Data
PID: 220487
Min Value: 0
Max Value: 100
Equation: ((A*256)+B)*1/1000
Header 7E6

Now, every reading I have had is 8 Litres and there has been more than that in the tank. I'm making an assumption that the sensors are lower than the 8L mark and the that this will only change if below this calculated level from the 3 voltage sensors. This corresponds with the % always showing 100% unless it is classed as low.

Either that or the PID is rubbish. It matches Foscan and IDS anyway.

Please let us know if you ever see a reading less than 8L.

You should see high resolution on this one of 8.09 if over 8 litres are in the tank.

I just saw on Facebook that the new Adblue tank in the MY2019 has infrared sensors instead of floats. I have been experimenting with adding small amounts of Adblue with the tank almost empty and have been pleasantly surprised.

I wonder how the new sensors will affect Forscan and Asbuilt stuff?

Yes they may be possibly be different but the Pre MY19 did not have a float either and had 3 seperate level sensors. I find it strange that something would have changed being that I have never heard of one issue with a pre MY19 adblue tank.

Whichever way the sensors still output a voltage and this voltage with math is converted to a sum, so its doubtful the PIDs would have changed if there is a difference.

Worked for me thanks Stewart! Pitty I had to fill up with AdBlue last week. Was trying to hold off but 200km till no engine start was cutting it too close to wait any longer. Reading 8.09 and tank is full. Will see how it goes in the coming months as the level drops from use.
Cheers

I just added this PID into torque and in my MY19 Everest, I get a result of -0.3. I'm guessing this PID isnt compatible with the MY19, but can someone else confirm incase I've stuffed up? Cheers

Assuming it is entered 100% correct and it does not work then the PID would be different. Different sensors etc also.

I currently do not have an MY19 Everest to pull PIDs from so cannot give you anything at the moment.

8 or 8.09 depending on decimals set in each device. It should change if lower than this value. This is a MAX value and will never show more than this and should see it change when under this level.

can anyone confirm they have read anything lower than 8 for ADblue level?
mine has probably only done 2000 k's since being filled, so mustn't be off first sensor.

if 8 (or 8.09) is max, can I change formula to ((A*256)+B)*1/80.9 to make it read 0-100%?
(if no response, I will try it tomorrow night regardless)
