Ranger Mods

Hi all.

Been having a few difficulties with the truck recently. One was an egr cooler which I’ll go through in a separate post sometime.

The latest is difficulty or failing to start, with a message on the dash “charge system service now”. This seems to have come on very suddenly. Reading though various forums and post I’ve checked the alternator and it seems to be outputting as the smart charge info says it should. This morning I has the battery tested and I’m told it’s fine.

If I could pick your collective brains on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Although my ranger is just over two years old it’s 70k miles out of warranty.

I have not seen the issue so can only suggest getting a second opinion and test of both items from another source.
