Got a question or thoughts, my ranger is a 2014 PX 3.2lt auto

Just wondering & thinking if it’s possible or beneficia & just a discussion or thoughts

As many forscans can be done on the PX 2 & 3’s eg engine & g-box, My question is the g-box (6 speed) the same in the px1 & px2/3 or does it have upgraded electronics?

Would you be able to take a px2/3 ECU & put it in a px1 & adjust the shifting points for better gear shifts & torque for towing ect or would there be too many differences in the cars for it to work?

Forscan is not an engine or transmission tuning tool. Forscan can only change high level generic vehicle, customer and regional settings within the modules.
Tools that can tune engine and transmission can do PX1 just as easily as PX2/3.

Swapping an individual (or 2) module is unlikely to work (version mismatch, VIN mismatch, electrical connector mismatch etc). You'd have to swap the entire electrical system (wiring, modules, interfaces like instrument cluster). Easier and cheaper to replace the car.

Agreed.

Ian's "is unlikely" above can be translated to "will never".

I’ve heard many people saying they have had trans remapped for better shifting & performance how are they doing this?

Not with FORscan.
As I said tuning the engine and trans is possible on all PX's (2.0?). Unless you're into learning a whole new technology take your Ranger to a professional diesel car tuner. ~$1300 should see you with an engine+trans tune and before-after dyno printouts or use the BPT Motorsports plugin product (do a search).

Edit: I should add, I don't necessarily recommend tuning these motors.
