Hi all does anyone have pics on where they connected the pos and neg for their winch connection.
Digging old threads has confirmed i must go to the body for the neg.
Would there be any problem connecting to the large black cable with purple trace near the battery or should i use a completely new location?
The black cable with purple trace is much larger than the supplied winch cable (25mm)
Also where on the pos terminal clamp are people hooking upto?
Also any idea what currebt the shunt is rated to?
Cheers in advance

Look at your instructions and check if they say both cables have to go directly to the battery, most do.

The instructions say straight to battery but my thinking is that they are generic and stewart says " no ifs no buts" all negs to the body.

I run my winch chassis side of the shunt and not directly to the battery terminal and have never had an issue.
What are they rated to, I have no idea. There is no other way the BCM can see current draw from the battery otherwise.

I am out of space around the batteries negative cable, so I used the spare earth point inside the front passenger wheel arch. Just used the existing earth bolt in that area to cut a thread for the winch earth in the 'spare spot' , and used a suitable rough edged bolt to tighten the cable down. Positive comes off the biggest bolt on the batteries positive post bussbar.
