Formally a driver of a fully offroad fitted out 2006 SR5 hilux D/C i have owned from new that is currently sitting in my shed with a cracked piston (its future still to be decided).
Got the current model XLT as i liked the engine size and i do a lot of towing of a 2.2t jayco expanda with the family. The 4wd is my spare car, i only drive if i go 4wding, vanning or pulling trailers around for odd jobs as i drive the wife's old car to work as apart from rego its cheap to run and easy to maintain, also it allows me to work on the 4wd without the need to condense jobs into a single weekend only as i am a constant tinker and modifier and like to do most of my own mods.
Looking forward to drawing on peoples expertise as i start to build up the ranger. Will be an active poster if i know or find anything useful that hasn't already been addressed.
