I had a Hilux SR dual cab for 10 years and when the time came to get a new car, I expected it to be a nice shiny SR5.
We test drove a Navara, Colorado, Hilux and Amarok. I had no interest in a Ford.
"Have you tried the Ranger?" my friends said. No, I'm not interested in a Ford.
I had an XD wagon many, many years ago, a hand me down from my parents.
We have Rangers in the SES and I don't like them.
"Have you tried the Ranger?" my mechanic asked. I'm not interested in a Ford.
Well, I took one for a test drive, and I bought a bloody Ford - a Ranger Wildtrak, Orange.
I'm as surprised as anyone - but dollars for features, it is works out pretty well.
I've had it for 2 months and I am very happy with it, the comfort, the features and the performance (not necessarily the economy 'round the 'burbs)
I still would like to mod it a bit, change the dash to display more info (I can't believe it is as lean as it is), bend it to my will.
Thanks for listening.
