Ranger Mods

I'm only new to having a Ranger and playing with Forscan - so please be gentle

In the XLS instrument display, above the tripmeter/speedo the car displays a compass bearing (ie: N S E W) can different info be put into this same spot ??

Not that I'm aware, unfortunately I do not have one to play with or test anything with. Maybe a photo of what you mean as I have never looked at one.

The "E" at the top is compass direction, same area of the screen but top left is where the shift light is.

Highly doubt it. Think I can enable / disable on XLT but cannot put anything else in its place. I might have a play with the IPC again if I get bored but I mapped out every bit and never saw a change. I would say it's in the firmware and cannot be changed.

Just found this on the Facebook page.... so something might be possible, I just don't know where to look

I assume you also have the 4inch Sync display?

It has been on my sheets for months. It will enable temp on Sync but also possibly on IPC.

Sorry for the confusion.... I was wondering if 'anything' could be added there, or if there was already things available that just needed to be turned on (like the temp on the pic I found).

I've added the temp to the sync screen using the code from your spreadsheet - it worked for the sync screen, but didn't do anything to the dash display.

I'm sure I enabled it somewhere for someone else. Go into the FDCIM non asbuilt not FCIM and see if the temp is in there. I'm sure it is and enable that display.

You will only ever get what the factory firmware provides. If you mean replace it with say engine temp or other then no.

The items that are on the spreadsheet here have now been added to Forscan as non asbuilt items.

Everything else I have done will be added to Forscan in stages and as I have time to submit them.
