Anyone had any personal experience with this?
Read about them and it looks OK but is it worth $300.

Ive had an iDrive for about 2.5 years, I have a Dec 2015 PX2 manual. I found for around the city driving I mostly have it turned off as its too responsive (I have mine on setting U6) for me, but I do a fair bit of towing, mostly long distances and when it comes to big long hills like Mittagong south of Sydney it works a treat. Or if you need a bit more punch away from the lights also pretty good. They do significantly change the responsiveness, I am not sure what they are like for an Auto, perhaps someone else can comment. I don't know that I paid $300 for mine, maybe a bit cheaper, do a search on the Ford Ranger MK2 Club Australia facebook page they used to have group buys on there. Overall for me even though I only use it about 30% of the time its been a good investment.
Cheers Michael

Yes I have, again I didn't like it in city stop start traffic with the Manual gearbox and the response was not as quick when towing on the highway as just having it set to the position I prefer, guys who have autos seem to like the Auto Mode though.
Cheers Michael

I bought one today and what a difference it makes, driving is a pleasure.
My Ranger is an auto and I wouldn't have thought one of these gadgets would make such a difference.
Tried the idrive in auto mode and is smooth.
Tried it in U9 but hell, rocket powered.
Settled on U4, probably end up on U5.
The ECO mode will be great in sand, really gentle.
And to all those who say putting you right foot down harder and faster will achieve what the idrive does, you are very wrong.
Until you use one..........
