Hi all, I attempted a change to the Traffic Sign Recognition but ran into some trouble hoping someone here may have the answer.

Traffic Sign Recognition often displays the wrong speed. Ie it sees 40km when you drive through a school zone and so says speed is 40km even when it isnt school hours. It does however pick up work zones on the freeway and relevant speed limit. This is this indicator under the tacho.

At the same time the the speed limit is also displayed on the left in the navigation tab, this speed appears correct as will only show the speed limit as 40 during school zones. This one doesn't pick up work zones on the free way.

I tried playing around with the TSR option, but when i enable TSR it turns off both the speed sign on the left navigation tab and on the right under the tacho. Any way to keep the speed sign on the navigation but not under the tacho.

Also on a separate question, I know the consensus is Sync 3 will never support wireless AA, does this change at all with the embedded modem? I've seen some post in the US working towards this.

TSR is working as expected. The camera has no idea what the time is or timezone is and does not have an internal database just for Australia. It is reading the sign as expected and also the 60 sign. It is advising what maybe should be due to the signs you went though.

Navigation tab has no influence on TSR and vice versa as it comes from Sync 3, Sync 3 does not know what a school zone time is. One is from the map database and is generally wrong once the maps are out of date, where is TSR is reading the actual sign.

Basically one is accurate and one is virtual. Usually when TSR is activated the one in the left hand screen is not, not sure why yours is.

Sync 3 will never support wireless AA, it is not even built into the operating system.

Came from factory like that, from what I have seen all the MY20.75 have it. See below.

It does in my case. If I drive through a school zone in school time shows 40, if I drive through out of school time shows 60. It seems to be the more accurate of the two.

Really annoying when they have 2 different speed limited in two different looking signs. Anyway to turn TSR off but keep the navigation tab?

I say forget the school zone. One on the right is more accurate as it reads the actual street sign. Rely on the left one and when a roadworks sign is up or a street changes its sign from say 60 to 50 and you have had no map updates then the left one will be wrong.

I prefer to display what my eyes see and that is the sign on the right. I do not have an issue distinguishing when it is school time and worst case for the 20 seconds it will generally say 40 it does not bother me.

Ford did update the 20.75 firmware to one circle on the right where there used to be two, so you would normally see a 40 flashing and a 60 next to it at the same time. I suppose it actually made more sense but I would say it got removed because more people complained about the two signs.

Going back to MY19.75 cluster firmware would probably resolve most of the visual issues you do not like.
