Hi

My vehicle is a new Ranger Wildtrak (UK) with keyless entry and I'd like to turn off some of the annoying chimes and honks.

This is my first time using Forscan and after reading tutorials watching YouTube videos and reading some posts on this site I dived in. Everything seemed to be going okay and my first change was to disable the double honk which went without a hitch using the Non as built menu. Problems arose in the non as built IPC module, I tried to disable both the door open and driver seat belt chimes but both would get to the write stage reach 28% then fail and come out of the module. I have tried both many times with the same result. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be.

Assume the ignition is on and you have no other devices plugged into the other OBD port?

If this is the case and you are using the latest version of Forscan and have deleted and started fresh vehicle profiles then you should email you issue and log files to Forscan.

Thanks for the response. I did as suggested and the FORscan team sent me a test version with a fix that worked so it's all behaving as expected and writing to the ECU from the IPC module. If anyone else is having a similar problem the fix should come with v2.3.47 the current one as of today on the FORscan products page is v2.3.46.
