Does anyone know how to override or disable the function whereas the clutch has to be depressed to start a manual 2018 Ford Ranger?

Safety related item so no, there are 2 switch lower and upper.

Changing PCM asbuilt from manual to auto may do it but each also has specific hardware.

Send saved PCM asbuilt and can make a change for you to try, no idea if this will also affect other items.

Thanks for the reply. I've got no idea what's needed to save PCM or how to send it. Sorry bit green to this.

Hi Stewart,

Would this change you were going to make disable the lower switch as an input to disable the clutch in for start?
I'm wondering if this change may help with my issue regarding the anti stall trigger i PM'd you about.
If that lower switch is disabled it can't trigger the pull off assist antistall function.
That lower switch directly activates it if throttle is applied simultaneously with no clutch engagement yet.

All you can do is try. I don't believe the PCM will be happy about it and doubt the vehicle will start.

I should have said changing PCM from a manual PCM to and auto PCM or changing the engine calibration in the PCM from manual to auto MAY do something for you. There is no asbuilt change.
