Had factory alloy XLT rims off the Ranger today, and when putting it back on and done up tight there was still movement in them, so checked other 3 and were the same. I’m guessing the factory capped wheel nuts bottomed out, but I could still move them back and forth slightly with the wheel brace. It was the same on all 24 studs. Is this normal wit a Ranger with only 60,000kms on it? Or should I change all the studs?
Cheers

The factory nuts have a pressed cover on them which regularly distort and come loose. I had to virtually hammer a socket on to a couple of mine once as they had become too distorted. Usually happens if someone uses a rattle gun on them. Chuck them all out and buy proper nuts. The last thing you want on the side of the road is a hassle getting the wheel on or off if you get a flat!

I see you are in Adelaide, so am I.

I purchased a set of nuts for mine that were only on for a few weeks.

I got different wheels that came with nuts so I don't need them.

PM me if you are interested.
