Hey there

I've got the P04OD error, and figured I'd get the dealership to sort it, but they had a massive backlog so DIY it is. Went to buy the sensor and sure enough they wanted about 190 NZD rather than the 70-ish AUD I've seen mentioned here. OK, gotta get it done. Then I went to Ford ETIS to check location and procedure. I found the location, but that's about it.

It seems like they're going through some changes to the site and a good chunk of the information isn't as available as it used to be. Some parts diagrams are there, but I've previously downloaded a bunch that I can no longer see. Has anyone else seen that?

Thanks
Richard

Hi Richard,

No special procedure.

1. Remove the top engine cover. Pull upwards.
2. Unplug the EGTR sensor plug on top of engine.
3. Remove EGTR sensor from exhaust manifold. I did it warm so was an easy removal.
4. Reverse of the above.
5. Clear DTCs and that is all.

Cheers Stewart. No worries doing the job, just a shame to have (apparently) lost the Ford info + the "dealer experience". I still really like the ute, but next one will be something else... hopefully something electric...
