The -ve terminal on the battery in the tub, which has the -ve feed from the primary. It is not connected to the chassis in the tub.

That is to say the BCDC -ve is connected to the -ve terminal in the tub, and that -ve battery terminal is not connected to the chassis in the tub.

I always connect -ve of the aux battery to chassis. That way if you have a short to chassis anywhere the fuse/breaker will work.
If it is as yours is I suspect, but am not sure, that if you have a short to chassis it may damage the bcdc as it would be a path to aux -ve.
I do have a set up in the Ute I'm in at the moment that is set up basically the same as yours but it was a quick temporary set up for this trip. I have managed it with solar so not left it connected to the Ute 12v input.

This topic is great. I have a PX3 and only run the single start battery.
From reading every post in this topic, i have come to the conclusion that in my circumstance 90% (14.4v) will keep the battery well charged. I will eventually put in a 2nd battery but for now, i just dont want to replace the battery every 2 years.
Is this setting suitable for a totally stock setup to maintain a higher SOC?
Cheers,
Pete

Im happy with running 90%. On my px2 I need to have headlights on to keep charge v at 13.2. I still give the battery a charge with mains charger when I deem necessary. I live on a rural property so not really any short trips helps.
