Bit of a mystery! I've finished all the wiring on mine now, so I had a look in Forscan. My shutter module doesn't show up in Forscan at all, so maybe it's not supposed to? I know I've got a connection though as the roller won't operate if the doors are locked or if the vehicle is running and in gear (it will operate if running and in park). If yours operates like this then I would say that you canbus connection is fine. If your motor runs back and forward then I would say that the 3 wires for that, along with the +12v and earth, are all correct as well. If the two wires that go to the 2 switches (cab & rear) work as they are supposed to, then they must be OK. This just leaves the 3 wires that run from the roller shutter control module to the hall sensors on the roller shutter. Issues with the sensors or the wiring would certainly explain why you can't initialise. Have you tried metering out the wiring to see if everything's OK - could be worth a try? I have no idea how you test a hall sensor, but you'd expect them to be OK?easyflow wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 4:26 pm congrats. still can't get mine to work will not initialize and cannot see it on the mscan. Have checked and rechecked wiring but unable to find the reason! I passed the harness through the rubber grommet behind the rear seat passenger side but I drilled a hole in the tub before I installed the roller shutter. there is another grommet under the carpet near the passenger seat that is used by redarc towpro unit that may be of use and run the harness along the chassis rail, that's how the redarc harness is run.
One last thing. I wired mine according to the wiring diagram that Stewart supplied, and it worked without issue - so this is obviously the correct one for new control modules (like yours and mine)
