Harness adaptor for USB module - Sync 2 to Sync 3 upgrade

Hi guys and girls, I now have all parts to do my sync 2 to sync 3 upgrade all except the harness adapter for the USB module, does anyone know where I can purchase one?

Credit to vnhon2 for letting me know where to get this adapter.

Purchased from 4Dtech in the states, BUT they do not ship internationally. I used AusPost mail forwarding service to get it from US to me.

When I got my USB hub a specified that the wrecker cut a few inches of loom with the plug that suits. Cheapest and easiest way.

Hey Stewart,
I think you've mentioned on here before that when splicing old to new, that the colours of the old cables to be spliced match the 2 wires on the new USB modules plug. And that the other old wires are then taped off. Is that right?
I'm due to do the swap at the weekend.

Spliced Russell, but don't believe I said the same colour. I will give you old and new tomorrow night, I'm about to shut down for the night.

You should only be concerned about 12V PWR and GND. So yes, it looks as though the colours are the same assuming you have the donar cars pigtail for the hub.

Just to confirm, on the sync 3 diagram above where it has the 5 black coax lines, that is the black usb cable line on the sync 2 diagram and that is the plug that is the micro usb connector and the same on both hubs?

Then the aux and shield lines on sync 2 diagram relates to the aux port and sd slot?

Yes it is the USB plug.

Sorted thanks, 2016 to 2018 uk spec the power and ground where same colour. So easy to do.
