Sync 1 (4" Screen) to Sync 3 upgrade

I am seriously considering upgrading my sync 1 (4" screen) to the newer Sync 3. I have done ALOT of homework and was wondering if anyone has attempted this successfully? I have a 2018 XLS Supercab. My method would be to pull a Sync 3 system AC controls, Screen, usb hub and APIM from a wrcked xlt or wildtrak. Main question I have is regarding the wiring loom. I can either buy one from ebay ( at a premium ) or I can cut off the Sync 3 plug from the donor car and splice my own.
Does anybody have knowledge of the wiiring for the upgrade?
