Hi Guys
Am I correct in thinking the current version is ANZ119?
My Ranger is only a few months old and it came with ANZ118.
It had it's first service recently and the paperwork that I got back said it had been updated but it still is on 118.

If your Sync is version 3.4 then the latest maps are ANZ119
Sync3 is ANZ118

No when I first logged on to Ford's site it said there was an update for Sync 3.4 which I did and it's still on the same build.
So either they did nothing or what they did do changed nothing.
Thanks for your help anyway.

They either did not update or they used a 118 usb.
ANZ119 is still the latest available for 3.0 and 3.4 at this stage.

Yeah thanks
If It does not get upgraded at the next service I will be having a complain. I have read reports from other people getting their cars upgraded to 119 from the same dealer so I know they have the correct USB stick.
Serviced on a Monday maybe they had just had a big weekend and not quite recovered.

Yes. Thanks seejay.
I used the cyanlabs sync3updater and it worked perfectly.
Now have latest version of 3.4 plus the 2020 maps.
Easier than stuffing around with the dealers trying to get them to do it.

Just had a service done and requested a map update to be done. When I picked the car up I asked if it was done, the guy didn't know, it was not on the service report. Um, arh, um, arh. It would have been done if it was available. Said to him I think it would be. Currently sync 3.0.??? Maps 1 19. Anyone confirm the new maps for 2020 are available from a dealer?

If you are running Sync 3.2.x.x they may not update the maps.
They only seem to update the maps if your Sync version is 3.4.x.x
I could be wrong but two of my friends didn't get theirs updated either

What about the 7 year map updates if you get your car serviced by a Ford dealer for the entire time?

If there is an update to 3.2.xxx and maps 1.19 you will get it if your model suits
I have been told Ford will not update models that don't have v3.4 from factory to v3.4
I have a 2018 and they wouldn't update mine to 3.4, I had to use the Cyan labs update

I have been trying to get a map update for the past 4 years. Ford keep saying i need to update sync. Ford website says it needs an update so i download and install then its a loop of it saying i still need the same update!! Yes i uploaded the completion file to ford but it still goes around. Ford hotline…. f@&kin useless…. Dealership making excuses that they cant do it… f@&kin useless. 1 hour with cyanlab for download and update and job is done. Sync 3.4 and maps ANZ 220. Worked perfectly and everything is running heaps smoother now. Thanks to the guys recommending it on here. I know what i will be doing next time around.

You have the same sync version as me and my maps have been updated, from what would have been the same maps to anz 1 19 maps, so there was updates from Ford available.
Answer is probably no or not an easy way but can you save and/or revert back to the current version if you update using cyanlabs update?

Im sure there was. But the dealership had a p$ss poor excuse that sync needed updating for them to update maps. I tried multiple times on the ford website but could not win. The point of my post is if anyone is having the same issues it is quite a simple and painless process to update using cyanlabs “sync 3 updater”. You also have the bonus of going to 3.4 which is much smarter looking screen and less laggy than the 3.0 i was on.

Please CMIIW I believe you can only go back to 3.2 once you have updated. Best to read their forum for more details. My Ranger had it's second service today, the paper work says.
"Check to see if map update is available for sync 2 or later system"
"Carried out free map update"
It went in with 118 maps and came back with 118 maps.
So obviously what they say is BS.
Hope they really did an oil change and just not painted the tyres black and wheeled it back outside.
There is one thing I know they did for sure, they replaced the service reminder sticker.

My Ranger is coming up to 5 years old, don't think its hit 50,000 klms yet, due to health reasons and lockdowns, but has been serviced before the date or klms reached. I have to wonder if they actually changed the oil, filters etc. when the distance travelled might have only been 8,000 klms. Like to think they are honest, but? Last service they didn't do a map update but wasn't one to do. They didn't change they service sticker mentioned on the service report. They did tell me it needed an timing cover seal replacement as it was leaking when they rang me. When picked it up nothing mentioned in the service report about a leaking cover. Told them it would be done under a warranty claim. Once organised was told they needed it for 3 days, to give the sealing compound plenty of time to go off. Had the car 1 day, rang the next before noon, said it was ready to go. 3 days, 1 day, oil leak, no oil leak, honest, dishonest. Who knows.
