Just seen this interesting option on the US model Ranger:

It's a factory option that adds garage door opener buttons to the sunvisor.
So what do we think the chance are of it being compatible with Aussie door openers?
I assume it's a pretty dumb device that just needs power, so assuming it physically fits and can work on the correct frequency, could be a nice feature.

Thinking it will be a low 300Mhz device and probably not compatible with most Aus 400 - 450Mhz receivers.

Homelink uses a different frequency to the standard garage door openers here as what Stewart says above.
The next issues is most garage door openers now days have Rolling Code, so someone can't copy your code that easily.
