Does anyone have any wiring diagrams or know where to source them? Specifically the PX3?
I am trying to add XLT mirrors to them that I picked up for free from a PX1 however I can't get the heated mirrors nor the auto fold to work because there appears to be some missing links in the wiring harness.
It's odd one because the wiring harness at the mirror has all the pins taken care of so that isn't the issue I have noticed is where it enters the car some and then plugs into the next harness there are some cables missing where it continues on. I I can add them in or know where they are supposed to go it should be an easy enough fix for me.

Does your XLS have the folding mirror button on the dash, RHD of steering wheel?

It didn’t have it from factory however it does know that I sourced one from ford. It just appears to be missing some cabling.
I have done a bit of testing and managed to get the mirrors to fold in with a 12v supply. I think I have found a fix I’ll write something up soon with my findings.

So this started out as a question then with some further digging into my car I ended up finding out that I wasn't able to do what I wanted to by just adding mirrors and a switch so I had to do a little bit of testing.
I originally acquired some PX1 XLT mirrors for free so I thought it would cuck them onto my 2022 XLS to gain the fold and heat function.
So after adding the mirrors & the XLT mirror switch with fold function I would have though it would all work however I guess ford wanted to save 3.5cents to not include that extra 500mm of wiring. I have managed to work out how to get the mirrors to fold this is the main thing I am after for tight carparks where I have found my mirror bent the wrong way (how awesome are people ). The heat function will be a little harder as they run of an electronic switch on the climate control so it won't be as easy to trace out through the loom.
So what I have found is the wiring is complete within the doors but it stops when it gets to the connectors in the kick trims. Easy enough to follow out with my meter I was able to trace where they should go and what they are meant to do.
Now correct me if I am wrong but this is what I have found out so far.
What I have worked out needs to happen is in this PDF below the link basically a link from the switch on the dash to the cables either side. This is the two switches side by side. The one on the left is my OG one and the right is the one I bought from ford for an XLT. You can see it has two extra pins on the far right that control the fold for the mirrors. Top pin has 12v when the switch is pressed in and the bottom receives 12v when the switch is out.
Connector that plugs into the mirror switch I need to add two cables to the left
These are the connectors in the passenger footwell the green one came from the white connector and the blue came from the grey connector I just used a jewellers screwdriver to remove them I will just cut the ends and extend them to the drivers side. Basically the blue will need to get 12v when the switch is in (folding the mirrors in) and the yellow/green will need 12v when the switch is out causing the mirrors to fold out.
Drivers side connector much the same as the passenger however they have both come from the grey connector in this instance.
Now the hardest part for all of this for me is finding these connectors I feel like they are called BCM Spade Terminals however can't seem to find out how I know what size they are or where to get them from. I have decided that I am just going to keep the wiring in the connectors within the footwell as it will be a pain to also find the corresponding connector for them I'll just use a generic 2 pin connector to extend the wiring. However I will need to find the same ones for the mirror switch to get them to sit in the plug.
The other thought I has was I could get a auto fold mirror module and then the ones that plug into the extension I will just cut off and wire directly.
Cheers

You appear to be the guru with all this stuff do you have any idea what these connectors are called that come from the large terminal blocks or more importantly where I could source them from? I have tried a load of local shops around Canberra without any luck. Element 14 have heaps of different stuff however I have no idea what I am looking at as they are deceiving with just an image to work from.

I can probably sort something for you but I have a massive workload over the next 5 days and cannot do so until that time.

Thanks!
I have worked out all the wiring that needs to be added for the heated mirrors and the fold function I'm just stuck with those pins at the back of the button on the dash.
A thought I have was if I purchased an auto fold module it should come with a patch harness that plugs into that switch then where the factory connector connects to the patch harness I can cut the wires out of the patch and then join them directly to the new ones I have installed rather than going through the loom.
In saying that I assume that's how it should work.

I finally got to go through everything. I do not have anything so you easiest option for plugs would be to buy a folding mirror module kit.

I went through this process previously, hopefully this thread will identify the pins you are looking for.
