I am not sure if I have one or not.
I have tried several EGR % PID's with an Ultragauge & OBDLink and nothing registers on either device.

RossPat if you are in Au you have ever.

I think you will find any Vehicle in Au after around 2000? at least will have EGR.

Some Countries have different rules. Eg PNG in 2011 I had a new HZJ79 1HZ landcruiser, No EGR , rear drum brakes. Au had rear disc since 1991.
2016 XLT 4x4 Space cab, Aluminium Tray, Ford Steel Bull bar. Rear bumper bar fitted for parking sensors.

Would you be able to post a picture looking at the inlet manifold? Cheers

Way back I purchased a Ford Laser Ghia - on inspection I found that it had no A/C ducting to the rear seats - as advertised - on taking this up with Ford I was told in no uncertain terms that Ford were not in the habit of stopping a production line simply because they were short of some components. After many phone calls I found in my mail box one day a package with the two missing ducts and an instruction sheet on how to install them !!!!!

If your Ranger doesn't have a EGR system its because they ran out of them, all car factories work on the Japanese method of CJIT (components just in time) to reduce costs components arrive the very day after the last batch runs out -- never before - this reduces stores capacity as well as reducing invoicing materials costs, you don't pay for an order until its actually delivered and by the time payment is due its been installed and despatched.

As it's a "mandatory EPA" fixture you can expect a letter from Mr. Ford asking you to present your car to your friendly dealer to have it retro-fitted at your next due service, me personally, I'd tear the letter up.

They cant just "not fit" the egr valve, it would need a completely different exhaust manifold and inlet pipe and coolant hose. And then a software re map, parts they just wouldnt have in stock. Trying to find what county uses those parts to physically remove mine rather than just blank it.

You have two alternatives, either use a blanking plate on the exhaust manifold (these are easily obtainable on eBay) or completely remove the manifold, grind off the flange area and then using the right sticks weld up the remaining orifice. With either of these two alternatives you will have to have the EGR program deleted from the ECU.

I don't know of any country that doesn't have the EGR fitted but if there are be assured Mr Ford wont have a separate exhaust manifold cast just for them, he will simply use a blanked off one.

Its been blanked, mapped out and cooler bypassed by joining hoses. Just want to tidy it up. Im sure Thailand, India, Malaysia and other African places dont have them but its hard to find an owner to ask for pictures.

Any information I have ever seen shows all PX2 Rangers regardless of origin had a factory EGR.

Ill try searching for px1, the egr valve is the same, so the pipework must be as well. Cheers
