Just noticed the image for parking sensors on the sync 3 screen of my wildtrak when reversing is an SUV not ute. don't know if this is something I have done but can it be changed back to a ute? If so how do I change it? This is the small image in the top corner of the reversing camera screen and the larger image that appears in the centre of the screen.

You or someone else has made an asbuilt change at some point I would say and have used an old pre made Sync 2 change. I assume you or someone else has tried to change it so you can type whilst driving which will not work with Sync 3 and can brick your unit?

Are you certain it is Sync 3?

Change 7D0-02-01 to xxxx-xxx3-xxxx

You possibly have 5753-0D04-C0xx or 4153-0D04-C0xx at the moment.

If its Sync 3, then turn ignition off for a few minutes after the write or if Sync 2 it will reset anyway.

If you have some other weird hex in that line then post up.

Thanks for the quick reply Stewart.Yes definitely sync3. Bought the ute 2nd hand so could have been played with/modified before I purchased. I have only done DRL changes and have not tried to change for type while driving myself. Will check 7D0-02-01 when I get a chance as am away at the moment on holiday. Will post results when I check/change.

If I was you I would write the complete original Sync 3 asbuilt back in.

Flick me your VIN in a pm so I can check your asbuilt first then you can flash it back in with Forscan afterwards. Honestly I think you would be better re programming all modules with their original asbuilt then starting from scratch. Someone has been playing and who knows what else has programming issues you can not see.
