Hi everyone.
Please be gentle. I'm new on this forum and a new Ranger owner.
How do you connect this brake controller without causing electrical issues?

G’day mate, what year ranger is it? There is a lot of discussion about it on newranger.net forum. I’ve read that for a px ranger series 1 that the brake pedal sensor has a purple wire that is only active once the pedal is pushed and this is the brake signal wire that needs to be connected. The controller needs to have a good earth point to the body of the ranger and a power supply coming directly from the battery through a 30amp circuit breaker to the controller. The power cable out of the controller to the trailer plug should be an independent wire of roughly 5-6mm and wired into pin 5 of the 12 pin plug. Sorry to ramble on a bit but just trying to help out without you needing to ask questions back and forth

Awesome, this is what i was looking for, I have a 2012 Wildtrak and looking at fitting a brake controller, so looking at everything seems like a pretty straight forward job.
