Hi everyone,

I have recently had some LED DRL's installed on my Mk2 PX Ranger by my auto sparky. After i had them installed i started getting quite a bit of static through the radio. The DRL's also act as an indicator and when i turn my indicator on now static comes and goes with the sound of the indicator. This issues only started once they were installed, before them the radio worked perfectly.

Any Ideas what could be causing this?

My dads also had the same ones installed and his work perfect no issues at all. Hes got the same car same accessories and all installed by the same people.

Cheers Everyone

Qualitity components no doubt and made with no regard to EMI.

Is it AM, FM and digital playing up or...?

They may be the same components upon the same vehicle but were they wired in the same route and same wire etc. there are 2 aerials on the XLT and one of them is attached to the drivers side front wheel arch plastics between the wheel and he front bumper.

So one I would be checking the route of the wiring.
Two, unless they are a quality brand with proper filtering can you be sure the internal components are always of the same quality.
Three fit a noise filter to the radio. You should find an abundance of information on this on Google.

Hopefully that will give you some starting point.
