I just received my recall notice this morning to have both front brake hoses replaced - faulty components that have a propensity to burst under heavy or emergency braking -- has anyone else received their recall notice ? My VIN number is 133488
Clancy Ford at Bathurst are doing it this Friday 1/11/2019 - no charge and 4 hours turn over.

I received my recall notice over a month ago, but had to wait another month to schedule the appointment at the dealer. Apparently, the dealers in Germany were overwhelmed by the recall and didn't have enough of the new brake hose kits to meet the demand. I think I waited about three hours, but the replacement took much less time.

Update - I've now replaced all of my brake line hoses with competition grade braided stainless steel items - an old mate from my rallying days made them up for me at a reasonable cost, nothing of value these days is free. They are practically "flying stone" proof unlike the standard plain rubber hoses and well beyond 2 times the bursting capacity of the Ford hydraulic braking system - which I find more than good enough for the speeds this fluffy duck drives these days, I dunno why anyone would spend over $2500 on a rear disc brake conversion. I've got the lad looking at the hoses on the OME BP-51 remote shock absorber hoses to see if he can upgrade them as well but this would need to include re-pressurizing the remotes and that may not be possible as I think the remotes would need to be fully evacuated of any air first.
