Hi everyone,
I am looking for some advice/clarity on the current model Ultragauge available in Australia.
When I go to the Ultragauge Australia site, they list the MX 1.4 model but only for pre 2017 PX2 Rangers.
Apparently there is an issue with some coding. I use my Ranger as a daily drive but also tow a 2.5 Ton boat or a 2 Ton caravan so I would like to keep an eye on the usuals (Auto temp, EGR, Coolant temp etc).
So, a couple of questions:
1. Is anyone using an UltraGauge MX 1.4 Ford Ranger / Mazda BT50 Pre 2017 Build on a 2017 and onwards Ranger?
2. If so, are the issues fixable?
Thanks in advance.
Tom

Hi, this is the one you want
https://ultra-gauge.com/ZC/index.php?ma ... 13121b3211
You will get an option to choose Ford Can 2008+ and the mount you require on the same page.
For the mount I would use a piece of double sided tap and the mount made by Stewart available from this site.
https://www.saeb.net/wp/product/ultragauge-bracket-rhd/
I use the same set up on my 2018 model.
I have no idea what issues they are referring to as I haven't had any.
You will need to programme it using the MGauge settings to change to custom PID's like trans temp which are all available from this site.

Australian seller is just an importer of the product. UG will not give reseller.Ranger17 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 12:23 pm Hi everyone,

I have never known an issue on 2017+ as 2017 is identical to a 2015. If there was an issue then a ton of people here would have always had the problem.
As per Ross's post above, this is the manufactuers site. They are cheaper and it will generally land within 3 days, this may change depending on current world issues.

Thanks guys, I have installed my Ultragauge MX1.4 and programmed a couple pages and I must say, I am very happy with it.
Thank you Stewart for providing the PID calculator, it really does make it easy.
One question though, I noticed on Ross's photograph that there are no decimal places for his tyre pressures. I loaded as per the PID calculator and have 2 decimal places. No big deal but looks better without the decimal places.

Try changing from L/R 22 to L/R 20
Let me know how you go.

Thanks Ross,
Changed L/R from 22 to 20 as suggested and all is well, no decimal places. Looks much better.
