Hi Everyone,

long time lurker, first time poster.

I have recently installed a secondary fusebox behind the glove box to power things like phone cradle, dash cam, UHF etc. It is wired with a relay to power on with the accessories power. The relay is powered via the +ig pin from the BCM as has been covered in depth on the newranger forums.

I really would like the secondary fuse box to allow power to continue for a time period after the engine is turned off (10mins or so), However the +ig feed cuts power instantly as soon as I turn the engine off.

Just wondering whats the best or easiest option to change this... hopeing some of the people on here might be able to provide advice on their set up, or whether my options below are even possible.

So far, I think I have 3 options (apart from leaving it alone), they are....

1) Use forscan to change the +ig power timeout (I really don't even know if this is possible - hoping someone on here might know)
2) Pick up accessories power from another source that's already similarly powered.
3) Use a Time Off Delay relay

its a PX3 XLT

Thanks in advance

If you are getting power from 12v socket wires then yes, the timeout can be increased by up to 18 hours Max on a PX2, not sure about a PX3.

Wait for Stewart, he will set you straight.

Thanks, I’m fairly confident the power from 12v plug continues when accessories are off, but does cut as soon as you open the door - which is not really what I’m after although it is closer

Ig+ cannot be changed.

Another option is to take it off the 12 volt socket and change the timeout from 1 second to whatever suits you. You are only running a relay after all so it will be fine.

Someone on here reported the timeout does not work on a PX3 and I have not been able to confirm so best to check that mod first and make sure they stay alive before wiring.
