Scrolling though forscan to see what I might like to tinker with and I stumbled across battery type.
It's currently set to "Incorrect value or not configured" I am having issues with my battery no matter how much I charge it with a charger it will only get to about 80-85 % full.
Would setting this affect the reading and make it more accurate?

That has been mentioned before and from memory it does nothing.
Battery SOC depends on a few things
A battery may not reach 100% due to age, battery quality or charger.
I have 2 battery chargers
One manages to reach 85% and the other reaches 100%
I have a Varta F18 battery fitted, made in Germany.
I assume you have Smart Charge disabled

Yeah the charger I am using is a Projecta 8ah charger
Yes I have smart charge disabled. I just constantly get errors (especially in winter) about the features being disabled because of low battery.
I think it is probably just my dash cam that is causing the issue as well as short trips. I might have to disable the park mode on it, although I don't want to because it saved my when someone reversed into me and damaged my front bumper I ended up catching them and got it paid by their insurance.
All good worth an ask I thought it may have been something.

My Projecta only reaches 85%, the Victron reaches 100%
They are both 30amp chargers though.
