Just a newbie here and to Forscan, a steep learning curve.
So if the solution has been posted, but I haven't found anything yet.
I have a PX3 Wildtrak, when entering a destination for navigation, the default keyboard is ABC, this can be changed to QWERTY but only lasts for the current session. It reverts back to ABC the next time round. Is there a way to change the default keyboard layout to QWERTY in Forscan.
I have asked the local Ford Dealer but they tell me they cant change it as its not in there software as an option.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Alan

Hi there.
Unfortunately it can't be changed with Forscan.
We would all like Qwerty to be default.

Thanks for the prompt response.
So the next question is, is there an alternate method to change it other than Forscan?
I dont know why someone in their infinite wisdom at Ford, would choose to use an ABC keyboard, rather than the accepted QWERTY

They all support this but the change does not stay persistent, its an internal file system issue, basically the file is not written correctly from the manufacturer for Aus vehicles.

More so the time involved. Unit still needs to be removed from the vehicle so I can disassemble the unit. Any system updates will overwrite the change also.

Anyone can now finally and easily have permanent QWERTY keyboard on sync 3.4
Just use the cyanlabs sync3updater and update with that to the latest version.
QWERTY working and settings remembered.
