Hello all,

Wondering does a 2013 xlt 3.2 px series 1 have a timing chain sensor, if so is this something easily replaced?

I have been told by NRMA my starting problem is either the crank angle position sensor or the timing chain sensor or the timing chain itself...... not entirley happy with so many options so may need a second opinion.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Ryan

Maybe camshaft sensor which does happen in those. There is no timing chain sensor but chain links from crankshaft to camshaft. If it is camshaft sensor there will be a DTC stating this so get the fault codes.

Ok, thanks for the quick response Stewart, I will have to get a second opinion i think.

I will ask the next mechanic for the fault code.

Thanks,
Ryan
