Hi all,
I have a small tear in the driver seat and rather than getting it repaired I was thinking about replacing it with a second hand seat.
I have a 2015 BT50 xtra cab and to me it looks like the Ranger seats are the same and would straight bolt in on the same rails.
In order to widen the search options a bit I was wondering if the Everest seats are interchangeable with the Ranger and the BT50?
I am only after the front seats with airbags (potential replacing driver and passenger to get the same look).
Does anybody know if the Everest seats would bolt straight in or if any other Ford or Mazda seats are compatible?
I had a bit of a look but after market seats where not appealing either due to cost or airbag legalties.
Cheers
Mike

Personally I wouldn't. PX2 and Everest run a totally different electrical system to BT50 so I would class them as incompatible.
Everest seats in a PX2 plus Ranger I see no issues with as the use identical modules to drive the airbags.

Thanks Stewart.
Do you know if PX1 seats would be compatible from the electrical point of view?
That would be up to 2015 models, correct?
If yes, would that still rule out 2015 Everest seats?
Cheers

PX1 ran from 2012 to 2015 and used the same electrical system as the BT50, so yes in theory they should work fine.
Everest was never built in the Ford/Mazda era so no, I would not use Everest at all.

Quick update: 2015 Everest seats are directly interchangeable with 2015 BT50seats
After reading https://newranger.net/forums/viewtopic. ... 3dce6b32c2 I gave it a go.
Mechanically they fit anyway but connectors for airbag and seatbelt switches are a direct fit.
I got leather seats without heating so no additional switch required, only 12V power for the driver seat adjustment
Cheers

Nice work.
I assume with the airbag side of things, lets hope they operate the same way in a worst case scenario.
More a warning for others that may want to do the same, it is an unknown whether the safety features will work as expected so do so at your own risk is all.
