My friend Sam had his vehicle defected last night.

He backed out into the street as a Police car was coming down the road.

He was pulled over and told the reversing lights he installed were too bright, they made it hard to see when the cops were driving up the road.

He has made an appointment at Regency Park to let the government inspectors look at them.

Now he can't use his car until his appointment next Tuesday and to make things worse, he has to pay for the inspection.

They are fairly bright though, 2 x 12w or 15w I think.

Aparently that's what they are trying to get the law changed to here, able to isolate the same as driving lights etc

Whether it's true or not I don't know, it wouldn't surprise me if it's true, more revenue rasing.

The outcome of this was that the Inspectors have disabled the lights until they look into it.

They want to get some rules to go by as there are none at the moment.

They are more concerned with brightness than a switch to isolate them.

I went out and pointed mine down towards the ground a bit further so they shouldn't blind anyone. It'll do for now I hope.
