Hi,

I’m sure this has been ask before but my browsing has not been successful in finding an answer.

I have an XLT PX2 2015. I recently removed the wheels and replaced with a set of FX4 rims. The FX4 wheels had existing (not the original supplied with my ute) TPM sensors installed.

On the first trip after changing I had the alarm on the dash for a tyre pressure fault which would be expected. I acknowledged and then reset this through the menu. I have not had any further alarms come up.

My questions are:

does this mean the Tyre Pressure Management Sytem has picked up the new sensors or system is probably not working?

If I deflated one to see if an alarm is generated would it have to be driven to check?

What pressure activates a low pressure alarm from factory?

Thanks in advance

Mick

Doubtful it has picked them up as BCM is not set to self learn but either let down a tyre within 10 minutes of stopping or swap one with your spare then go for a 10km drive and see if you get the error.

If you pump them up, say put 6 PSI in just after you stop, with the ignition on you should see the pressures increase if you are monitoring tyre pressures with a 3rd party tool.

Factory default for low alarm is usually 30 PSI but I have seen them at 28 and 32 also.

Worst case you buy a sensor training tool from the store and train the new sensors in.
