Change your system clock back a couple of months and see what happens... if it reverts back to 2kph increments we'll know one of Ford's programmers was bored and was playing silly buggers. LOL

After reading this the other day I went and checked my cruise increments which I know was 2 kph when new on even numbers and 1 kph to get to even numbers. It was 1 kph increments all the time. Yesterday I fitted a 140lt tank and did the Forscan mod for the tank size, and only that mod was done. Now the cruise increment is back to 2kph on even numbers or 1 kph if set on uneven numbers then followed by 2kph after it is on even numbers, just like when it was new.
The Ranger has been to the dealer twice, one service and one to have the roll top replaced. When it changed to 1kph increments I don't know but it is definitely back to "normal" now.

I checked mine again today and still at 1kph.

Maybe check what firmware version is in your CCM and SCCM in Forscan and I can compare it against my own.

I got the TSB 18-2010 applied and as part of this the PCM was updated. My 2km increments has changed to 1km increments. There is no 2km increments anymore.

It seems to me that there was some upgrade that changed it but I for one didn't leave my car in to a garage for any reason before it changed. Is it possible that the car is getting upgrades over Wi-Fi? My car connects to my home Wi-Fi so is it possible?

Another reason I suspect this is... recently my sync 3 screen did not come on one morning. I couldn't get it to come on, and it was also off in the little instrument cluster screen. I turned the engine off and on but no change. I went to work and it worked perfectly when going home that evening.
So I had to leave my car in for a warranty job changing some heated screen cable and I told the guy what happened and he said they had seen that before and they think it was something to do with the sync3 upgrading. I'm probably over simplifying the explanation. I didn't think to ask about the cruise control.

So anyway do you think some overnight upgrade over Wi-Fi changed it from 2km to 1km? It does seem like we all experienced the 1km change around the same time.

Possibly, but I could only see the asbuilt being changed, big maybe. What would happen if a calibration or asbuilt failed half way through, it would possibly render the vehicle unusable.

It might be time to start logging the Sync3 wifi connection and the CANBUS to really find out what is going on. I turned my Wifi connection off for this very unknown reason at the moment.

Its possible they pushed a CCM cruise control module update due to so many people have issues with active cruise control. Can't say I'm that happy about it and nowhere have I acknowledged any unauthorised access.

Figured it out.

It does come from the PCM and any vehicles that went from 2 to 1 increments had to have had a PCM update.

I had the turbo replaced and they updated the PCM firmware as well. My increments use to be 2Kph (with 1 if it set at an odd number) now it is only 1Kph increments
