Has anyone ever weighed the whole kit?

Tossing up whether to clone my current ARB setup using 5mm Alloy plate to get rid of some more weight.

I see that a complete Alloy kit weighs around 20kg in 6mm.

I am sure it would be a lot lighter than 3 or 4mm steel.

I didn't weigh mine when I installed it recently, but they supply it in one large box which you can lift by yourself, despite the large awkward proportions. I'd guess at 35kg.

Will pull of at some point and weigh it all and post the results, or I could just ask ARB I suppose.

According to ARB the total weight for the lot is 28kg, in 3mm steel.

The aluminium kit in 6mm would be similar, given that aluminium is half the weight of steel or very close to it.

The ads I have read saying that the 6mm aluminium protection is up to 20kg lighter would be wrong in this case.

It would be great if the ARB kit only weighed 8kg.

Maybe there would be a 20kg saving if you had 4mm + steel protection.

I just went and looked at my weight notes and the figure ARB gave me for the UVP was 35kgs.
