Is it possible to do what you need via TeamViewer on the owners laptop? If so, you can simply select the blank screens option so they cant see what you're up to until the work is completed.

Maybe a silly question Ross, but let's say you're on the highway doing 110, then you get to an 80 zone which the car recognises... all good so far, until you come out the other side and someone has pinched the 110 sign, or it's behind a tree. Does the car warn you forever that you're speeding when you know you're not?

Maybe I'm over thinking this? LOL

Let me see if I can get this right Gerry.

Doing 110 and all well.

Camera detects an 80 sign and the warning starts until you drop to 80,or whatever you have set the over allowance speed to.

You come out of the 80 zone and it changes to 110 but as the sign is missing the warning would stay on 80kph until the camera sees a sign.

So you would be doing 30kph under the limit until it sees a sign.

I hope I have interpreted your question correctly.

If you were doing 110 and entered an 80 zone without a sign visible then you would be in trouble, it needs to see a sign.

I have run Navigation with sign recognition and they both change speed limit warnings at the same time, or very close to it.

Yeah, the scenario is that you'd leave the 80 zone, the car doesn't see the 110 as it's behind a tree, so you speed up to 110 but the car keeps flashing a warning at you cos it thinks you're speeding.

Can you cancel it? Does it give up after a while? Does it keep warning you until it sees another sign?

Just curious Ross, trying to decide if I really want it?

If you leave an 80 zone and go into a 110 zone and there is no sign and you speed up it will keep flashing until it sees a sign.

If you go from a 110 to 80 zone it will keep flashing until you slow down, providing it sees a sign.

It totally relies on reading signs.

I don't think you can cancel it but as a menu item, it can be turned off/on.

It isn't intrusive but could be if it had audio.

I had a long chat with Barry from BPT Motorsport today, who will help give the people that want to attend his workshop in Wangara Perth WA the option for me to enable TSR on their vehicles.

It will be a drive in, sit have a coffee and have a sit down for 30 to 40 minutes then drive away with the feature complete.

There is nothing in this for Barry as he is doing it as a service for me to put the funds into further projects. But while you are there you can talk to him about the nGauge, you may walk away with more power and more torque to go along with it.

So for anyone that has access to this area and wants the option, flick me a PM and we can talk further.

That's awesome Stewart, I'll definitely be dropping in to say hi again to Barry to get this done. Was only chatting to him about this yesterday while I was getting my Ngauge installed.

You will need to contact myself at this stage, Barry will setup a separate laptop and I will send across another adaptor during the week. Between their workload and mine we will then work out what times and days work best for all.

Nice work Stewart - For anyone visiting Barry in Wangara, there's an excellent lunch bar just down the road called Helz - I recommend either the pulled pork roll or the steak sandwich but they'll be gone by 1:30

I work 500m from Barry's workshop so will no doubt be spend time and money there in the future!!

Would it be possible to get the TSR & Adaptive cruise to work together?

Just imagine it, what ever speed the TSR reads the Adaptive cruise automatically adjusts. :D

G'day Stewart,
I know you need the lane assist (which I have), but do you need to have that enabled for TSR to work? I notice your pics show lane assist on when the speed signs are showing.

Might have to work out how we can get this working on mine at some stage. :)

Cheers
