Hi.
I have 2017 XLT. Just happened this morning.
Car brakes like normal, however with foot still on brake pedal the pedal slowly sinks to the floor.
Wheels look clean, there is ample brake fluid, can't see any leaks.

Any ideas?

Chris

I don't know the workings of the Ranger master cylinder but years back that meant fluid was bleeding back past the Master cylinder piston.
No loss of fluid but a decrease in braking efficiency & eventually brake failure

Update - it turns out that the catch can hose from the catch can to the engine block has a hard plastic right hand bend in it that was rubbing against the metal pipes along the firewall.
Minute holes were created after some six years of rubbing.
The rub mark can clearly be seen on the front pipe.

Thanks for the heads up!
I had a look at my setup over the weekend.

I have the Provent 200 kit for the PX1 which also has the pipes running along the back of the engine.
The one with the elbow (feed to air inlet pipe) was also rubbing the brake line.
My line was not too bad as I had put some anti-chafe material when i installed it but had worn through the material after 4 years.
I also had rubbing on the brake line about midway inline with the valve cover caused by the pipe going from valve cover to Provent.

Maybe something for owners with catch cans to check...

What catch can kit do you have installed?
