Hello y'all,
I currently have no TPMS on my XLT '17. Is it possible to add it? And if so, where to get the sensors and how to program through forscan?
Thank you
Kavi

Yes,
Sensors
EV6T-1A180-CB or
EV6T-1A180-DB or
EV6T-1A180-DC
Ford dealer or eBay for the sensors.
Enable in BCM and IPC non abuilt. You will see I added them with reference names "TPMS" in both modules. Program them in with TPMS tool, here wp/product/tpms-sensor-training-tool/ or elsewhere.

It does work on an XLS but last time I did a test run on it there was no menu to reset the tyre pressures. Driving for a bit may override this but I did not have the car long enough to see if it would self reset.

When tpms is enabled on a xls there will not be a reset in the menu, to reset the ok button on the right side of the steering wheel is used.

Many thanks for the training tool. Arrived almost within a week. I'll wait for the sensors I ordered on eBay and post up results!

Hello Stewart,
I activated the tpms in both bcm and ipc but i don’t have the tyre pressure menu in the right screen under driver assist. Is that normal?

Cannot confirm or deny whether it is correct or not. The SA vehicle uses different cluster firmware so I would need to flash a cluster with your firmware to check.
Send me a reminder PM about this as I will possibly pulling mine out on the weekend and can do a test.

Hi there Stewart,
I have a Ranger 2019 XLT which I would like to retrofit the TPMS on. I see on the parts catalog, however, it lists two possibilities:
1. EV6T-1A180-DD
2. F2GT-1A180-DD
Is there a way I can identify exactly which sensor is the correct one to get?
Thanks very much,
Vito

Did you get Ford to look it up using a MY19 with TPMS sensors?vviglietti wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 12:31 am Hi there Stewart,

I cannot help with the correct part number but I would be guessing the EV.

Unsurprisingly, asking a question from the dealers here of something even slightly out of the ordinary is met with glazed face response. The parts catalog naturally listed that mine was not equipped with sensors; making the search show for MY'19 showed four different offerings. I fitted the EV6T, but the sensors simply wouldn't train to the vehicle (I could read them using a TPMS scanner, but I assume the iteration of that sensor type is different to what the vehicle reads). It may be possible that the PX2 and PX3 have different BCM and possibly thus different sensors? I will be trying the F2GT offerings and see if it will be successful.

No pre MY19 cluster supports displaying tyre pressures on the Cluster.

Hi Stewart, but can I still add TPMS to my ranger will it work by showing the tyre flat symbol when there is a issue with one of the tyres ? or does my vehicle not support it at all ?
Kind Regards

I will say it should do. Adding TPMS to PX2 has never been an issue. Keep in mind though there are some firmware differences to the SA models so it is a risk you take.

If you say "risk" do you mean regarding something that I can stuff up on my vehicles Electronic or the risk of trying and seeing if it will work ?saeb wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2019 8:55 pmI will say it should do. Risk as in the cost of the wheel sensors. There will be no adverse electronic issues.

Dear members, I have my ranger limited 2018 (for South America it is MY18) and it was brought from the factory adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, etc. Then I was able to buy the elm237 interface with switch and download forscan paying for the full subscription. I was able to add several options, among them the climate control function on the right display, turn on the rear lights with daytime running lights, enable the off-road screen but the incline and height do not tell me that I must install a module. The only function that I have not been able to enable is the screen with the Tyre pressures, my truck brings the sensors and lights a low pressure warning light, there is a screen but it is only to reset the sensors, someone has been able to enable the display of the pressures?

The PX3 can show individual tyre pressures, the PX2 can't.
If you want individual pressures it can be done with an Ultraguage, Scanguage, OBDLink etc using Custom PID's from this site.
