I dont know if any of this is related, ive done the adjustment for Tyre size (285/70R17) i went to the max change .... my speedo is spot on with the gps, but the odo is out by about 4.5km/100km (odo says ive done 100km but gps odo days 104.5)

But i also keep getting a random fault code (spanner on dash).... the code is P0825:00-6C gear lever push/pull switch circuit (shift anticipate) could this error be related to the changes?

Ford dont know why i keep getting the error as apparently is an auto thing but my car is a manual.... any ideas ??

I'm sure Stewert will chime in, but does it still throw a fault if you clear the code and change it back to 0977?

EDIT: When you say max did you change it to 726-12-01 xxxx-09DC as per this post for 285/70/17 ?

Sorry for the confusion, when I say max change I meant I've set to 0977 as per the linked posted..

I've cleared the code a few times, sometimes it won't show for several days, others it will happen multiple times a day (spanner light clears each time car is shut off, but code is still showing in log)...... deliberately haven't cleared the code for a while as ford are 'attempting' to also figure it out.

Something else I've noticed "obdlink" app doesn't always show the code, but FORScan lite does..

Fault code is not related and is a totally different fault.

It will be 4.5 km out because the speedo from factory runs approx 4.5 km lower at GPS 100kph.

Your change would be about 09DD from memory but you will not do it at the moment. If you go night than 0977 then you will see a new DTC.

Does you other DTC come on say when you put in in sports shift and changes gears? The codes looks self explanatory as in sport select transmission push and pull lever. It push pull changing gears as expected?

Anyway it is a seperate fault.

Cheers, thought it was a seperate fault - but figured I'd ask 😎

i don't have "sports mode", unless you count nice and snappy gear shifting - my truck is a Manual 😜 --- and that's why it's a strange fault

Weird. What module is the fault code in?

Well good luck to them... It will be interesting to find out what the problem is if they resolve and tell you. I assume it has done it since new with only 423 km on the ODO. I wonder if an auto selectshift asbuilt has been put in the PCM and if it has then every time they try to do a PCM update it will always pull down the original wrong asbuilt so it will always revolve until head office engineers get is modified on the backend.

Just a thought anyway as to even get that sorted will be a head ****

PM me your VIN, It will be interesting to look at your asbuilt config for the PCM.

Some manual vehicles have a switch, probably not used in the Ranger, that allows for computer controlled rev matching etc. Some cars do that and detect when you place your hand on the shifter, commence shifting etc. Switch etc might be present even if the feature isn't used. Might be a fault there at a guess.

Fireguard, your PCM is set for a manual so it is not that. I can only assume Ford have tried a PMI update on the PCM? Otherwise nothing comes to mind and the Ford service crew could not enlighten me this arvo.

I applied the 0977 code to compensate for my 265/70/18 tyres. Before the fix my gps would read 103 while my speedo was at 100. Since the fix my speedo and gps are dead on.

Who's interested in an update.......

Truck is still coming up with this same fault code :(

Neutral switch has been changed 3 times on the top of the gearbox. - No luck
Pin test done on the neutral switch plugs. - Still no luck
PCM completely replaced (done yesterday) - the light still f@rking comes on occasionally.

We're running out of ideas now - PCM replacement was though to be the last step, now there's talk of possibly replacing the wiring loom....
6months in and still not fixed.

so much for, get rid of the old car with problems for a nice brand spanker with no problems..

Have you changed anything else in any other module?
Have to changed the BCM asbuilt back to factory, not one line but every line?

The changes I made (a few months ago now)

Fuel tank size
Tyre size
temp on centre console (xls)
removed shift light
enable silent mode
disable door/belt beeps
disable autostop (I've got a manual) -- this is one I'm thinking about turning back on and see if it makes a difference.

I think that's the only bits that I changed :)

Ford said they did a complete reset and reload, a while ago - but to never had to reinput these changes

They can write a replacement calibration file with IDS but it will as you have seen depending on how it is done will be whether the asbuilt is re written with factory data.

Your factory asbuilt has not been written or you would have lost most of those options.

Personally I would write the factory asbuilt file to all modules in the vehicle and is what I think you should do.

Feel free to send a PM with VIN and your email address and I will help get it back to stock.

If it fixes everything then great.

No, none of the lines on here work with a PX1 or BT-50. You will only have a pre selection of 3 tyre sizes and they are usually set at the largest.

I have yet to write custom calibrations for the manual for larger tyre sizes. It is planned for 2021.
