Does someone know what temps these run at idle pre turbo?

I have nearly completed my list of hidden PIDS, so far I'm at 197 undocumented PIDs, so want to try and track down the elusive manifold EGT PID if one exists from this list.

I plan to have this list completed by tomorrow afternoon then will select certain PIDs based on calculations that will hopefully make finding it easier.

Have spend another 20 hours on this all up and I think I may have found it although I do have a huge headache now though.

Graphing and response looks good in the driveway from idle to some throttle so will give it a run on the way to work tomorrow and see what happens.

Sounds promising Stewart... well done mate!

As far as temp's go pre turbo, I don't know, but I would expect 150 to maybe 200 degrees higher than post turbo around town and possibly 300 higher if pushing it hard. Only going by what I've been told previously, so it will be interesting to see what you get.

Cheers

What is your post turbo Gerry?

May make you up a scangauge code to try so you can compare side by side?

Sent you a PM

Can do no prob's. EGT obviously changes with load and ranges from around 250 - 350 normal driving and up to 450 towing uphill. I did have it at 500 once, but that's unusual and pushing hard.

Hi Guys,

I am looking to monitor my EGT's also and log them prior to doing an exhaust change so that I can compare temps before and after. Hints on where to find PIDS for EGT's and Lambda would be great. TIA.

You won't get lambda as there is no lambda sensor.

What hardware or software do you want to use to monitor the PIDS? As all are listed in there appropriate sections on the board.

On a side note, I still have to monitor all the unlisted PIDS I have found and try and translate them to see if the manifold EGT PID can be found or if it even has one. Its a long and painstaking process with reading, converting hex then graphing in excel. Also it could be 1 byte or 2 bytes which makes it more difficult.

I am going to use the Motec ADL3 to log the data, but i need to tell it where to look.

Complete PCM PID list viewtopic.php?f=14&t=183 There are PIDs for each module but that should get you started.

I have know idea what format the Motec requires, headers, length, etc. so cannot advise any further without that information.
