Stewart, finally getting back to this
I think I have my scan guage values as per your pid calculator
But I have a strange thing showing, look at my soc, alt current and bat current
This doesn’t seem right, maybe my matters is cactus?

Update,
Just got my 9 month old battery tested, and its cactus.
New replacement is now giving sensible figurs from the scanguage for current, SOC and ALt current etc.
Thanks heaps for the PID's.

Was going to say just that. Glad you found a resolution.

And for the first time since I got the scan guage pid’s correct for the soc, and alt current, I have sensible readings.
And now, I finally confirmed what you said ages ago, that normal soc is about 75-80 percent with the smart alternator. I finally saw the battery charging stop at about 79 percent, a value I was never able to achieve with the previous battery.
All good now, thanks heaps.

PX2 stock is 75% but will go higher, especially once it recalibrated overnight.
NextGen is set at 80% from factory.
More than welcome.

Just a follow up.
When the battery is full, or in my case 80 percent SOC, the system stops charging, so you can the battery voltage drop from 14.4-5 down to about 13.3, and the current drops to 0 or bounces around up to 2.
BUT,
The alternator current shows around 30 amps, is this normal for a running car in daytime?
Or do I have something wrong with my maths settings in my alternator pid?
Thanks

Alternator will still be running the vehicle so seems fine.

Hey Stewart, ANother update, the PID's are great, but I had another battery replaced (under warranty) last week, thats my third in 2 years (1st was original OEM).
Very weird, watching the scan guage, I can tell the battery is starting to fail as the battery amps in while drive just drops off low, and the battery never ets back to 80 SOC even after 3 hours driving. Plus overnight, when I start up i the morning, the senssors all go a bit weird.
so the Battery volts stays up around 14.3, for ever.
Then got the new battery, soc gect up to 80 percent, and ou can see the battery volts drop back to about 13.3-4.
Not sure if there is something wrong with my car, or just unlucky on the batteries. I got it from Batteryr world, its a Century.

Why would Bob Jane delete items from your ScanGauge? Find it strange that they would have touched the ScanGauge at all.
