Powertrain light

Got this on my dash today while driving around 60 zone. Would appear for about 30 secs then gone. Didn’t get it on highway but acceleration on the ramp seemed odd at about 100km (going to 110km zone).

Once off highway started to get it pop up again.

Plugged in for scan and saved the codes. I think a lot of these were already there so I’m not sure what to take away from this.

Thoughts? I have a planned drive from syd to Melb and back next Friday so hopefully not major issue.

Will try this and write back here. Anything specific I should look for?

I know some of those codes are going to come back instantly, such as the climate related ones as my car did not come with dual zone but has dual zone sync 3

As the glow plug codes I'm pretty sure were there since I got the car. And the rest of the codes seem to just be modules that my car does not have, which makes sense.

Does this sound correct?

I dont know if the egr fault will cause the spanner warning, but it is in the PCM faults list and probably should be fixed anyway.

There are a lot of faults with possible causes as short or open circuit. It would be worth check all battery cables and earths. There may be a common cause for those,

I think most of those are missing modules. Since my Ranger is an XL, but I’ve got Sync 3 and the dual screen IPC, they are probably both expecting a lot of stuff that was the car they came out of. I’ll have to work with the forums here to disable as much as I can to get rid of those codes, assuming they aren’t because of a bad earth.

Here is the breakdown of the codes that I have and what I think is the reason why. Hopefully Saeb see's this and can impose his wisdom.

Looks like that sensor from the other thread was my issue. Swapped this morning and so far, have not gotten that error again.

Now just gotta figure out what else I need to disable to get rid of the rest of these codes.

SEE NOTES IN RED BELOW.

Vehicle is most likely running an early engine calibration and as such glow plugs 1 to 4 are not good. Unless you live in a cold climate then I wouldn't replace. Otherwise replace and have Ford update the engine calibration.

You have a cheap antenna, some are better than other but DTC can generally be ignored if GPS is working.

You will see a change in BCM non asbuilt that I had put in, it will be in brackets and have reference to (puddle Lamps)

You do not have the fan, nor auto climate and you have replaced the FCIM because of the Sync3, from memory you will be stuck with this DTC.
