Ranger Mods

Trying to enable the keyboard so that a passanger can enter in destinations on the sat nave on 2018 ranger with v3 of sync 3. I tried enabling ability to change address in motion but didnt work. Then tried enabling navigation system. Still nothing. Am i missing something.
I have changed both back but now im getting navigation system failure on the dash. Is there something im missing here? Or do these features not change that.

Our everest with v2 sync 3 can use the keyboard while driving and enter destinations etc. Ranger newer with v3 sync 3 has a shaded out keyboard and can only speak a new destination with voice command.

Also has your Sync3 been connected to wifi since you made changes?

Worst case, if you PM me your VIN and your saved asbuilt abt file for the APIM in Forscan I will amend and send it back for you to reload.

I have just put another request through for these options to be removed from Forscan as a matter of urgency.

All good got it working again. Couldnt get into asbuilt section of ford website for some reason but just did it manually and all ok now. Just had to wait a bit with key off for new settings to load. Once that was done sat nav back up and running.

An update for Forscan soon should see users selecting whether they have a Sync2 or Sync3 with a warning attached.
